About Us
Cornerstone Lutheran is a Christian church in Kelowna, British Columbia, and a member congregation of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). Our life together centers on the saving work of Jesus Christ and the clear proclamation of His Word.
We confess that Scripture is God’s inspired and authoritative Word and that it alone reveals the Gospel: sinners are freely forgiven and made right with God through Jesus Christ. This salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
At the heart of our ministry are the means of grace—God’s Word and His Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Through these gifts, the Holy Spirit creates and sustains faith, strengthens believers, and gathers us into one body in Christ.
As a church family, we are committed to Christ-centered worship rooted in Scripture; faithful preaching and teaching of the Law and the Gospel; regular reception of the Lord’s Supper; expression of Christian love and service; and sharing the hope of Christ with our community.

Our Pastor
Our pastor, Rev. Dr. Steve Wiebe, serves Cornerstone Lutheran by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and faithfully teaching His Word in its truth and purity.
His calling is to serve Christ and the congregation—responsible for preaching, administering the Sacraments, and caring for souls, all guided by the comfort and instruction of Scripture. The distinction between Law and Gospel is foundational: the Law exposes sin and calls us to repentance, while the Gospel proclaims full forgiveness and life in Christ through His finished work.
He is committed to the pastoral responsibilities entrusted to him, including public worship, private pastoral care, instruction in the Christian faith, and encouragement for believers to align their lives with God's Word and to appreciate Christ in their daily lives.
